In the early days Bell Cliff was a popular platform for electoral speeches. Nowadays it's a favourite spot to while away the time with a Dorset cream tea while admiring the view of the famous Jurassic Coastline, or just to browse around the nearby antique shops and art galleries. The old cannon by the railings is a Swedish 'Finbanker' 6-pounder from the period 1680-1730.
