During an extreme low tide at Lyme Regis this expanse of limestone rock known as 'Lucy's Ledge' becomes exposed along the entire stretch of beach. The rock is composed of 'Blue Lias' and is very popular with the many visitors who come here to search the pools for local fossils. This was an unusually warm day at the beginning of February 2008.
