A view of Lyme Regis, the Cobb, and Uplyme from 'Charmouth Fields' above East Cliff. There was once a coastal road between Lyme Regis and Charmouth but in 1924 the road had to be closed due to the occasional landslips which are a feature of the local geology. There are still remains of a coastal footpath through these fields and along the Jurassic Coast to Charmouth, but it is frequently diverted for safety reasons.
